For Transdev, we designed a collection that not only meets their requirements for mobility and functionality, but also reinforces their brand and creates a sense of belonging among staff. By 2022, we had already delivered 55,000 garments - an important step on the journey towards more comfortable uniformity.

All Transdev drivers and crew wear garments from the collection. That's why a lot of attention has been paid to developing details that make a difference, like an elasticated waist and practical pockets. – To ensure optimal freedom of movement and functionality for their staff, including train and bus drivers, we have created workwear that is tailored to their specific needs and requirements, says Lotta Lindgren, KAM at Ted Bernhardtz. From Transdev's side, flexibility is prioritised in a double sense. – We have many different requirements from our principals, so it's important for us to have a partner who is flexible and open to change. Getting our brand across is important, but so is the visibility of the principals. It is also important that our drivers feel comfortable and safe in their uniforms,’ says Transdev's representative.
Efficiency and visibility
A previous collection included specially designed jackets and vests with silver buttons. To respond more efficiently to demand, they are now using selections from the Ted Bernhardtz ready-made collections instead. – They have seen the benefits of integrating parts from the available standard range, which will result in reduced stock levels and more efficient handling, says KAM Lotta Lindgren. To continue adding their own touch, Transdev's brand identity has instead been integrated in a stylish way with logo branding and accessories in the company colours. This not only helps to strengthen their professional image, but also creates a sense of unity among staff.
Continuous improvement and collaboration
By actively listening to Transdev's feedback and suggestions, we can together continuously improve and adapt the workwear to their needs - something that Transdev explains that they particularly appreciate in the collaboration. – We find Ted Bernhardtz's responsiveness very good! It is necessary to be quick and ready for new challenges in our industry. Ted Bernhardtz shows flexibility, clarity and a willingness to drive the development of our uniforms proactively. They always deliver according to our wishes and make good suggestions when needed, even when time is short. Internally, we have a good flow between our drivers and the head office. In return, we can inform Ted Bernhardtz of their needs or feedback. This gives us the chance to be constantly responsive and open to change. In this way, we create a good feeling among our drivers to feel seen and heard and to be involved in driving development forward, which we believe is an important part of strengthening our brand, concludes Transdev's representative.
