For McDonald’s, we work with the whole. We take responsibility for the entire process in respect of their work clothes and ensure that the collection stays modern and up-to-date. From design and sample production, project management, customer service, maintenance and updating of the web-shop to warehousing and logistics. Björn Ödman, Key Account Manager with us at Ted Bernhardtz, is working in close collaboration with McDonald’s on this assignment. – McDonald’s generally has quite a young workforce, which is why we’ve adapted the collection and the fit accordingly. From the outset and throughout all product development, we always carry out a wearer trial in one or in a couple of restaurants before we approve a new product, says Björn.
Smooth ordering
The collaboration includes co-ordinating the wishes and desires of each local market. The goal is a cohesive collection that transcends Nordic borders. – We want to offer a Nordic collection, not four separate ones, which we’ve succeeded in doing very well. Up to 95% of the collection is shared and only a few country-unique items remain, explains Björn. All McDonald’s restaurants can order their uniforms in our specially adapted web-shop. Just a few simple clicks, and the order is complete and on its way. If support is needed, our customer service team is always on hand by phone or e-mail, ready to help in four different languages – something which Anders, a buyer for McDonald’s, says he appreciates. – We sell burgers, everything else just has to work. About the collection
The McDonald's collection consists of, other than their unique assortment, a great number of clothing articles from our Ted Bernhardtz At Work Collection, as well as some standard articles from the general market. It means we may quickly add new pieces, phase out older ones and therefore offer the restaurants and staff of McDonald's a wide assortment.

How did we meet the needs?
At the start of our collaboration in 2013, we delivered work clothes to McDonald's in Sweden. With flexibility in ordering and adaptability in the execution, our collaboration has developed to meet the needs for what at this point is a joint company for all Nordic countries, Food Folk. This means that we now create and deliver workwear to all McDonald's restaurants in the Nordic region.
