Narvasen

Fast, Functional, Fashioned for Service

Narvesen is one of Norway’s best-known retail brands, with thousands of employees working at a fast pace and in constant contact with customers every day. When Narvesen decided to update its workwear collection, the aim was to find a solution that works in the real world, strengthens the brand and provides staff with the right conditions for their daily work.

Together with Ted Bernhardtz, Narvesen has developed a new workwear collection that combines functionality, comfort and a clear brand identity. The garments are designed for a fast-paced environment, where freedom of movement, durability and comfort are crucial, whilst Narvesen’s well-known profile is highlighted in a consistent and professional manner.

Clothing for the entire workday

The workday in a Narvesen store is filled with a variety of tasks. Staff are constantly moving between the till, picking goods, restocking and interacting with customers. Workwear must therefore do more than just look good; it must be comfortable to wear, allow for freedom of movement and be durable over time. As those in charge at Narvesen describe it: – We needed workwear that staff really feel comfortable in and that can withstand a fast pace, long shifts and daily use. At the same time, it was important to create a uniform yet understated look, ensure that the garments work for different roles and body types, and choose materials that can withstand frequent use and washing. In short: the clothes should make the work easier – not hinder it.

Function, comfort and identity

Working closely with Narvesen, Ted Bernhardtz developed a collection in which every detail is tailored to everyday life in the shop. The focus was on creating garments that feel natural to work in, with a good fit, high freedom of movement and materials that stand the test of time. The design is clearly linked to the Narvesen brand, but without overpowering it.

The result is workwear that feels modern, professional and comfortable, and works just as well in practice as it does in appearance.

Better workdays and a stronger brand

When the new collection was launched, it was met with a very positive response from both shop staff and management. Staff particularly highlight the increased comfort throughout the working day, greater freedom of movement when working at a fast pace, and the fact that the clothes look professional and are easy to wear. At the same time, the uniforms contribute to a clearer and more consistent brand image in the shop, which enhances the overall customer experience, says Narvesen: – The clothes work well in everyday situations and reflect who we are as a brand. It makes a difference both for the staff and for the overall impression.

A reliable partner throughout the process

Narvesen describes its collaboration with Ted Bernhardtz as reliable, responsive and solution-oriented. From needs analysis and design to the finished collection, the focus has always been on functionality in real-world use, rather than theoretical solutions. This has resulted in a long-term workwear solution designed for everyday use in a fast-paced environment. The successful collaboration between Ted Bernhardtz and Narvesen clearly demonstrates how the right workwear can make a real difference in everyday life.
