Shaping success together

Discover how we design projects from start to finish together with our clients.

Developing a new collection of workwear can seem like a huge endeavour. There are many elements that need to fall into place – design, functionality, durability, fit, logistics and quality. We know that this can be a lot to handle alongside your own business. That's why we at Ted Bernhardtz see it as our responsibility to make the journey simple, inspiring and, above all, secure – from the first brainstorming meeting to the finished collection and well into the customer's everyday life.

From idea to concept

When we take on a new project, the journey begins with the design team. Daniel Ivarsson, Design Manager, describes how he and Olivia Ernbratt, Product Developer, always work closely together – but with different specialities. – I usually start the process when it comes to ideas and concepts, while Olivia turns the ideas into reality. She liaises with fabric weavers and our purchasing department, and project manages the entire development process, says Daniel. To create security from the outset, each project begins with a deep dive – a short but structured meeting where we work with the customer to identify the requirements: what roles will the garments play, in what environments will they be used, how often will they be washed and what brand values should be visible? Based on this, we set the framework for the collection, sustainability levels and timetable. This gives the customer a clear roadmap from day one.

– Our customers don't need to be experts on materials or fit – that's our job. We translate the technical aspects into concrete effects in everyday life, says Olivia Ernbratt.

To facilitate decision-making, we use 3D visualisations that make it easy to see different colour combinations, fits and details. Sometimes heat mapping is also used to show how the garments work on different bodies in motion. All this is done to ensure that customers feel confident in their choices.

Circular design is the foundation of all our work. Sustainability is not an option, but an integral part of every project. We guide our customers through the selection of materials, certifications, recyclability and service life – and ensure that the result is both long-lasting and functional.

Turning the vision into reality

Once the design is in place, Jessica Palm, Product Quality, steps in. Her job is to ensure that the vision works in practice. – Early on in the process, we provide our input on quality choices for design and product development to create the best possible product. When we are handed over the reins, we check all the details and adapt them for production, explains Jessica. For the customer, this means they don't have to worry about material testing, certifications, measurement lists, logos or washing instructions – we take care of all that. We have the continuity, processes and contacts that ensure every garment maintains the same standard time after time, year after year. – Our customers can feel confident that we take responsibility for the entire chain. From transparency in production to testing materials and garments to ensure they meet all requirements. If something goes wrong, we are there to fix it, says Jessica Palm.

When everyday life runs smoothly

Stylish and functional clothing is part of the overall picture. But it is just as important that everything else runs smoothly. This is where Jessica Björling, Customer Service & Logistics, comes in.

– We can help individual employees find answers to questions that would otherwise take time to resolve internally. This means that the company has fewer issues to deal with and more time for other things, says Jessica.

We take care of the entire logistics chain: from order to delivery. In close dialogue with PostNord, customers' clothes are stored, packed and shipped so that they always reach the right person at the right time. For the customer, this means that workwear is one less thing to think about – everything just works.

Together we create impact

We know that developing a new workwear collection can feel overwhelming. But that's exactly why we're here. From the initial brainstorming session to final delivery and ongoing support, we make the journey safe, clear and simple. With us, the customer's needs become concrete solutions. We take responsibility for the details and ensure that the end result not only carries the brand, but also empowers the people who wear the clothes. For our customers, this means pride, security and workwear that makes a difference – every day.
