With respect for our environment

The respect for our environment is one of the greatest challenges of our time. We tend to consume our global resources at a rapid pace and the textile industry needs to take responsibility.

The production of textiles and trimmings consume big amounts of energy, chemicals and water. Together with our suppliers we work to improve production and though we have come far, our work is far from completed and we continue to do all we can,
on a daily basis.

Long-life-products

Long life products refer to work wear and uniforms that are more frequently used than the average garment. The ecological footprint of a garment is threefold: production, which has the greatest environmental impact, transport and usage. We believe in quality and a high quality garment with longevity has less negative impact. Our garments are always produced from a sustainable perspective.

Chemicals

Ted Bernhardtz is a member of The Chemicals Group who provides guidance for restricted and limited substances used in textile products, as well as support in managing legislation, etc. The Chemicals Group is a network of more than 100 textile companies with the common goal of constantly improving the handling of chemicals in the supply chain and reducing the use of dangerous substances. For this purpose spot checks are regularly done and samples are sent to accredited laboratories.

Transports

Transports have a major impact on emissions and ultimately on our environment. To ensure minimum negative impact we choose sea freight of our garments when possible. Our suppliers follow the Clean Shipping standard and make sure our boxes are efficiently packed, minimising dead air.
